Forbidden Love

Forbidden Love

Author: Becky Garcia

How do I describe this feeling
Pure ecstasy, blissful, serene
The experience of floating away
Away to another plain with you

Far away where we are alone
Just the two of us in paradise.
Giving so much, one to another
Away from what keeps us apart

Where we can become as one
Holding on to our beautiful dream
The two of us forsaking all others.

Together, wrapped in our love
Swaying with the rhythm of life
Grasping what we can't have
Pretending that it's ours alone
No bother from outside forces.

Alone, just you and I forever more
But in reality, we must come back
Back to our senses and realization
Back to a world we wish to escape
Awakened to the truth of what's right
What's wrong and what is not ours
.

A trip to Hong Kong - Day 5 - Farewell Hong Kong

A trip to Hong Kong - Day 5 - Farewell Hong Kong magnify
Day 5 - Sunday - 22nd/May/2006

We went for breakfast at 10A.M. Pretty late today coz we really enjoyed our sleep for our last night in Hong Kong. After that, we took a cab along with Datuk Irene at 1P.M to the airport. Hmm… I’m gonna miss Hong Kong for sure…

What I can about my stay in Hong Kong is that:

1) The city is so clean! Even the toilets, the shopping centre, the train station, subways and everywhere! They always clean it and also KEEP it clean 24/7. Not like Malaysia… work for 4 hours.. the rest.. tidur! This one, they value every hour and every minute. Plus, they used a high quality cleaning mop. In Malaysia, we use the white mop sampailah hitam!!!!

2) The bargain is good especially in Mong Kok Street (even though at the end of the bargain, you might get a slack look from the seller :P)

3) No discrimination. They treated everyone the same. Once, an old taxi driver told us that, when you wear just Tshirt and Jeans, they welcome you with no hesitation. Every body is just the same. Not like the old Hong Kong last time, where if you go for shopping, they’ll ask you whether you’re going to buy the product or not. If you don’t intend to buy, they’ll ask you to leave. Well, I can’t say that it has stopped 100%. Maybe 80%.

4) 99% safe from any troubles. In our country especially in KL, you always have to be extra careful wherever and whenever you’re out of the house. Even inside the taxi or city area. In Hong Kong, it’s totally different!! You can even walk on your own, even if it’s at 4a.m in the morning. You don’t have to get worried of being snatched, attacked, kidnapped and etc. Sounds to good to be true.. then come to Hong Kong.

5) Transportation convinience.. Seriously.. I love the Octopus Card. Just pay HK150 (HK50 deposit and HK100 for your credit). It can be use almost everywhere, especially for the subway stations, 7 Eleven, Watsons, McDonald and many other outlets! Just flash and Go! You dont have to worry about extra money, or having to buy subway tickets! In KL, I only see that kind of service at the Tol (Touch n GO). (Sigh~)

What I don’t like about Hong Kong…. Aih… trouble finding 100% Halal food. Everywhere is just iBab! iBab! iBab! It’s just horrible!!

Farewell Hong Kong Part 2

Arriving at the airport, we went to the Golden Lounge while waiting for another 2 hours before departing. What I like about the Golden lounge was the internet connection facilities. While waiting for our departure time, I did all the email checking up and browsed for a bit.

The food was quite ok.. The only Halal food available were the Samosas, Satay (not nice), and prawn ball (I think). I love the juices by the way.

Aih… Tomorrow… Monday… back to work… Uhuhuhuu…. Hong Kong… I’ll see you next year.. InsyaAllah~

A trip to Hong Kong - Day 4 - The Avenue of Stars Part 1 magnify

After spending 4 hours at Mong Kok station, we took the train to Tsim Tsa Shui station, to go to the Avenue of Stars through the New World Shopping Centre. When I think back, my mom and I were always lucky coz we always been at the right place at the right time. This time, we arrived at the Avenue of Stars on time for their ‘Light and Sound Music”. They played a song and all the lights of the major building in Hong Kong flickered and played along with the background music. No wonder Hong Kong is called the City of Lights! It was sooooo beautiful!

A trip to Hong Kong - Day 4 - The Avenue of Stars Part 2 magnify

There, we also took pictures of some of the celebrities palm print just like in Hollywood, such as Jacky Chan, Jet Li, Anita Mui and etc. We rested for a while; we were pleased to see some of the old folks dancing with the music band played at one corner of the Avenue of Stars. They really enjoy their old youth

We got back to the Hotel at 10P.M, and started to pack our bags. Luckily we bought extra bags just in case we bought loads of stuff… (and we did) =P.

Day 4 - Saturday - 20th/May/2006

It was midnight.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my dearest beautiful friend - Dk. Norleena. Sorry couldn't be there on your special day.. Will make it up to you when I get back ne~? :-*

I went to breakfast, same as yesterday at around 9a.m. After breakfast, my mom went to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition centre again to monitor the Malaysia Tourism booth and later we had lunch at Malaysia’s very own restaurant at 98, Jaffe Street. It’s called Sabah Cuisine! I was so proud and finally, I get to enjoy chicken in Hong Kong!

We had Roti Canai, Fish Head Curry, Chicken Curry, Mee Goreng Mamak, Sambal Udang and not forgetting our very own Teh Tarik. Just imagine that they have to pay HK100, 000 every month for the rental fee!!.. That is equal to Rm50k a month!!! And even the Roti Canai man (Mamak) who makes the Teh tarik is paid HK10, 000 a month which means more or less equals to RM5K a month!! Imagine that!! RM5000 only for making The Teh Tarik, Roti Canai and some of our simple Indian cuisine!!! Kejer Hong Kong lah camni!!! Hahahah! As for dessert, we had Pisang Goreng that was made in a special way.. which was superb of course. I’m going to try to make the same pisang goreng for early breakfast.. Hmm… but it’s better to eat it while it’s still hot.

After we had lunch, I managed to get online for about ½ an hour. Datuk Irene was kind enough to give me an online pre-paid card. After doing few surveys, my mom and I walked to Wan Chan station again to go shopping at MongKok (Ladies Market). I bought few souvenirs for friends and family. Early reminder... if you don’t like it.. Don’t bother to take it!! Others will be more grateful to receive it.

Other than that, I also shopped for Trendy Bag : HK185 from HK250, Earrings for myself and my siblings and Handbag for Mr. Oc’s mom. What I love about the art of bargaining is the the art of ‘Walking Away’.. =P Usually the bargain will go like this:

Seller : Hallo Miss! Beautiful Bag! U like this one? Good price for you beautiful miss
Me : How much is this?
Seller : HK270 miss… can give you good price miss
Me : Hmm…. I dunno~~
Seller : Hallo miss.. how much u want miss… tell me how much u want?
Me : (I want it free….) Aaa…. I dunno.. Hk270… expensive liao… I want it HK150
Seller : Oh no no.. miss… too cheap… HK230
Me : No… 150
Seller : Okay.. okay.. final HK190
Me : HK160
Seller : No wooo Miss… HK190
Me : It’s Ok laa.. I don’t want it (I started to walk away with a disappointed look)
Seller : Haiyaaa… Ok laa~ Ok laa… HK160 for beautiful lady..

Muahahahahahahahah!!!!!!!!!!!!~~ It worked the same for every single shop!!! Of course don’t bargain too low… Sangat Kejam okayyy~

A trip to Hong Kong - Day 4 - Ladies Market Part 2 magnify

On our way back, we stopped at Hollywood AV Centre. I bought Ipod Nano~~~~~~~~~ OoooohHohohHOhOhOhoHOhOoooooo~~~!!!! In Malaysia, 4GB Ipod Nano will cost RM1190. But I managed to get it in Hong Kong for RM820. How cool is that!! Ohohohoho~~~~~~~!!! As for my mom, she bought a simple Akira Traveller Digi Camera, 5 MP, charger, casing, 512 mb SD card and other accessories included for only RM580 in Malaysia!! Ngahahahahah!

There we met two cute Sales person namely Jimmy and Dickson. Hmm… they asked me to take pictures with them… Hmmp! Sempat lagi minta my e-mail.. I asked for discounts, and we managed to get a good deal out of them. Jimmy said, “only for you, pretty girl =P” Hohohohohoho~~~~ Hmmp! Nasib kau cute! I will come back to Hong Kong again!!! And next time, will bring MORE MONEY! Ureshi~

A trip to Hong Kong - Day 3 - Disneyland

A trip to Hong Kong - Day 3 - Disneyland part 1 magnify

We left the exhibition at 11.30a.m, and went back to the hotel to rest for a while. Next stop.. DisneyLand!!!!!! This is our first time in Hong Kong navigating our ways without any tour guide. We took a cab, and manage to get HK200 to go direct to Disneyland in about 20 minutes. The cab driver was very friendly, but the way he spoken was a bit funny =P.

Arriving at Disneyland, I was a bit confused on how I should felt at that moment. This is a place that I’ve wanted to go since I was a child. I don’t really care whichever Disneyland. As long as I can step my foot on the land of Disneyland, it should be enough for me. My mom and I stepped inside and were so impressed in every aspect! Starting from the services, the toilets, and the environment, also not forgetting the buildings and design! Everything was just soooo fantastic!! Hong Kong Disneyland was divided into 4 sections.

Bottom – The Grand Entrance, which they called it Main Street. U.S.A, Right – Tomorrowland, Left – Adventureland and at the Front – Fantasyland.. my favourite.. Our journey went on like this..:

First, entering at the grand entrance, we slot in the ticket, and arrive at the Main Street U.S.A. There we took pictures with Mickey and Minnie mouse, and Daisy Duck! Yes, we have to cue up in order to take pictures with the Disney celebrities =P. They have their appointed photographers to take our picture, and at the end of the photo session, they gave us the purchasing ticket, just in case we wanted them to print it out for us. At the same time, we can also use our own camera.

A trip to Hong Kong - Day 3 - Disneyland Part 2 magnify

Remembering Foxy, my colleague at the office who always called me Goofy… I went to take picture with Goffy too! He holds my chin with his big hand and we hugged! It felt so wonderful taking pictures with them. Ahiaks~!

Next, we walked to Market House Bakery and bought some snack for lunch. We waited for the parade which will be held along the street within the Disneyland. The parade was vast! The entire Disney princess’s was there except Aladdin and Princess Jasmine, and also Beauty and the Beast. The parade started with Chip and Dale, followed by the 3 beautiful Disney princesses’s, namely Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Snow White, The 7 Dwarfs, Alice in Wonderland and the other characters, Toy Story, Band Orchestra performance and ended with The Disney original characters, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Daffy and Daisy Duck, Goofy and Pluto! =P It was great! Unbelievable!

A trip to Hong Kong - Day 3 - Disneyland Part 3 magnify

After that, we rode an old Double Decker bus inside the place itself and we were brought to Fantasyland. In Fantasyland, there standing before us, a Sleeping Beauty Castle. Big! Gigantic, Enormous and Huge beautiful and gorgeous castle! A Disney Castle, which I used to watch in every Disney Cartoons! It’s Disney’s very own Logo and trademark. The only thing that is missing, is a flying tinkerbell on top of it =P.

We entered the castle, and went to the merchandise shop. Hmm… I wanted to buy most of the merchandise for myself, my siblings at home, My Mr. OC, Colleagues, and friends. But the price is just too expensive for me, and I ran out of budget. I could only buy souvenirs for my siblings. (Sigh~) Sorry guys. Will buy next time when I have more than enough budget to enjoy myself!

After that, my mom and I rode the Cinderella Carousel. It has been a while since my last ride.. And that was 15 years ago.. hahahah! We were quite dizzy after the ride =P Next, we went to Mickey’s PhilharMagic. Inside, was a magical 3D adventure starring Maestro Mickey and a surprise “can-DUCK-tor” =P. We were provided with 3D glasses… No.. not the stupid half red, half blue glasses. It’s a smart black plastic glass with yellow frame. We managed to surpass other visitor by getting the BEST seat inside! Middle… Back… Wow… the 3D was AMAZING!!!! REMARKABLE!!! WONDERFULL!!! EXCITING!!! A lot of 3D layers inside it.

The show started with Donald Duck, disturbed Mickey Mouse’s music instrument. Then, everything went totally wrong when all of the instruments went mad! Donald duck was running.. and running.. and fall into a dimension where he accidentally fell into every Disney movie cartoon. The 3D was so great, that you really felt Donald duck was running towards you and the flute that he threw towards us, really felt that it was going to hit us.

Every one was shouting crazily. It was so funny! When he fell into Beauty and the Beast cartoon, we can see the pots and pans, and also the kitchen appliances, plates were dancing around us! When he were transported to the Peter Pan dimension, he fell onto the clock tower minute hand, and Peter Pan was shouting ‘Let’s Go!!!!’ Donald duck fell down, and Peter Pan quickly gets Tinkerbell to throw some happiness powder on Donald’s cute butt!

Then, Donald flew onto the sky, and was diverted to Aladdin’s scene. We can feel the cloud and wind around us as the hall not only provides best sound quality but also the ‘feel’ of it i.e. the wind and etc. Donald accidentally fall onto Aladdin’s magic carpet, and Carpet went mad. Carpet flew around Agrabbah with Donald on top of him. We felt us really flying too!! Only god knows how excited me and the rest of the visitors. It just felt real!

There was one scene where Donald falls in the sea and met Ariel (Little Mermaid). When the water splashes, we were also sprinkled with water inside the hall!! Seriously, it was so great! Everybody left the Mickey’s PhilharMagic with loads of Hoo Hah! Me too! Next, we visited another merchandise shop and visited other places to take pictures.

A trip to Hong Kong - Day 3 - Disneyland Part 4 magnify

Next, we went to Fantasyland Train Station. We rode the train along with other visitor and tour around DisneyLand. From there, we can see the Space Mountain of Tomorrowland, the jungle in Adventureland and not forgetting the Castle of Fantasyland. Along the tour ride, we saw fake zebra (looked real!), skull, Buzz lightyear’s (TV series) small cute aliens, giraffe and so much more. We stopped back at the Fantasyland, and headed to The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.

At The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, we boarded a honey pot and joined Pooh for a whimsical storybook journey/adventure through the Hundred Acre Wood in rescuing his Honey! Inside was so beautiful. U can feel that you were a small person inside coz there were loads of gigantic book designs inside. Really2 gorgeous!

The time was 6.35PM. We planned to go to “Festival of Lion King”. Unfortunately, the last show was over at 6.15PM. Even “The Golden Mickey” has also finished its last show…. UWAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sooooo disappointed! So many places yet so little time!! I felt really22222222 disappointed. To ease our disappointment, we just visited Tarzan’s Treehouse. Not bad. We can see Tarzan when he was just a baby, inside a cradle which was hanged on the tree. There were projected hand sketches of Tarzan with the city girl (I forgot her name).

A trip to Hong Kong - Day 3 - Disneyland Part 5 magnify

The time was already 7.45PM. Still, with a bit of disappointment, we decided to leave Disneyland since it’s going to be closed at 8PM. When we got out of Adventure land, we saw lots of crowd sitting in front of the castle. I asked one of the visitors from India on what was going on. She said everybody is waiting for the firework show. I didn’t know thaaaaaat =D =D. I managed to get a seat in front and waited for another 15 minutes before the show started. The night scenery of the castle was sooooooooooooooooooo beautiful. Only god knows this trip to Disneyland had touched my heart. I know it may seem a bit odd to some of you guys out there, but like others, I am one of the Disney born child. I born along with Disney story and it had always been my dream to be in Disneyland. I just hold back my tears and felt so grateful and blessed just to be here, witnessing and experiencing everything by myself.

A trip to Hong Kong - Day 3 - Disneyland Part 6 magnify

5….4…..3….2…..1.. 8:00 P.M. The show has begun. Fireworks boomed out in the sky, with Disney song and other fairytales song as the background music, along with projected Disney clips of Cartoons on the castle wall itself. I was so touched by that moment, especially when I hear “The little Mermaid” song, Aladdin “a whole new world song” and Cinderella song. In other words, I love all the songs especially from the Disney princess’s cartoon music. It was just great and unbelievable. I WILL COME BACK AGAIN! And this time, with my siblings along with MR. OC. It just didn’t feel right because I felt incomplete. I can’t share it with anybody else except my mom. I want to share the moments with my sisters too! I want to share the moments with Mr. OC. Telling him about my experience made me feel awful.

A trip to Hong Kong - Day 3 - Disneyland part 7 magnify

Disney Classic… Thank you for giving hopes to most of the people in this world, especially to me..

We head back from Disney Railway Station and stopped at Sunny Bay Subway Station. From there, we took a train to Hong Kong subway station and interchange to Wan Chan station to get back to our hotel. Along the way, we stopped at Ichiban to buy chocolates. After arriving at Wan Chan station, we walked for one block and stopped to have our dinner at Mc. Donald. Back at the hotel, I arranged all the developed photos inside Hong Kong Disneyland photo album that we bought from the merchandise shop. Feeling happy... now… I’m going to sleep and dream to be one of the Disney Princess!! Nighty nite…

I’m So HaPPPPPPPPYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ~~~~~~~~~ Ureshii ne~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Day 3 - Friday - 19th/May/2006

I’ve a lot to tell today. I got up around 6.30a.m, took a refreshing bath, and went for breakfast at Level 1. Hmm… breakfast was a bit difficult, and I have to say, it’s a ‘darurat’ matter. Whenever I wanted to have omelet, I saw bacon beside it. Next!!

Then, I went to the sausage section…. Chicken~…. Beef~….. P… Pork……. Urrrr… No comment.. Next!!......

In the end, I just ate Hash Brown with baked beans, toast bread and yogurt. The little details about the ‘halal’ fact… I can’t think of them at the moment.

After breakfast, we went to Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition centre, beside Novotel Hotel. We followed the sky walk bridge connecting from the hotel to the exhibition centre. Only few walk distant. It was a golf expo show to promote Tourism via Golf event. There we met 2 of the Hong Kong famous actor along with other golf celebrities who were invited to officiate the event. One of them was the comedian actor.. I think his name is Eric Tseng (maybe). A bubbly, short and bald-headed guy. It was funny seeing him always giving the same pose in every picture that were taken by other people. =P

Day Two - Thursday - 18th/May/2006

I woke up at 7.30am to get ready. I didn’t go for breakfast. I followed my mom and the STB team to the Central Building and then later parted at 8.30a.m. I went on my own to ‘The Landmark’ via the inside building connecter and helped myself for a window shopping. Firstly, I went to the Video store while waiting for The Landmark to opened it stores and bought myself two DVD’s. Can’t helped it coz it’s on sale. Ahaks! :P At 9.30am, I continued my ‘quest’ at The Landmark.

It’s more or less like Starhill Gallery in KL, but more branded shopping outlets. I couldn’t stand seeing Gucci bags, Iuni Shoes, Dior spectacles and so much more. There are loads of branded outlets that are not available in Malaysia. I went to Starbucks for my breakfast, and continue window shopping and irritating all the sales people for not making any purchases =P. I’ve tried loads of make up samples, tried on few handbags and shoes. It felt wonderful! Hohoho~

I received my mom’s SMS informing me to wait at the MAS office (that’s where they have their meeting) just in case I got bored of window shopping (No way~).. I waited a while for them but felt even bored just to stand there doing nothing. Therefore, I continued my window shopping and waited for an SMS saying that the meeting has really over.

I went to MTM. It’s a custom-blended skin care treatment centre where they analyses your skin and then make a custom blend skin product just for you. I noticed that they have won the best Eye treatment Skin Care awards. So I decided to go in and have a look. The beauty consultant analysed my skin around the eye area. Euuu! It’s so dry with loads of dead skin cells compared to my chin and neck area.

The result was, neck area: well moisturized. Chin area: So-so. Nose: So-so.. have to remove few blackheads at the most difficult area. Eye Area: Witch eye!! Euuu!! I’m not even 25 yet! I was eager to try their ‘Diamond Peeling Treatment’ for the eye area, coz I felt awful seeing my eye analysis result. It coasted HK750 which means RM325. Ermm.. okay~ might as well use my credit card. But due to time constraint, I have to cancel. (Sigh~)

Instead, I bought their custom eye cream treatment and the eye masks for 1 month supplies, and another 2 different types of eye creams. Yes... It was expensive coz it’s just for the eye area and I won’t tell you about the price. But I can say that it’s worth it. I’m not trying to comfort myself after spending ‘something-something’ bucks by saying this... but the best thing about their eye masks is that it is 100% collagen compared to SKII or any other branded products which cost less (a bit less only) but 40%-50% collagen and the rest of it is cotton. I was given 3 boxes of eye mask with different custom blended eye serum/essence.

Now I’m wearing the first eye mask from the first box. It feels so cool! Very moisturize indeed compared to SKII eye treatment essence that I bought last time. (No result... hate it... but I still love SKII essence..=P) Well.. I’m not going to brag about this one either, coz I haven’t seen the result yet. I will update after I finished using the product, probably, somewhere next month.

I was also given free trial set for face treatment. Of course, the usual; cleanser, toner, moisturizer, eye soothing cream and anti-oxidant mask. It’s free anyway. Better use it then not getting any of it at all. While the consultant taught me on how to use the products, I received one shocking SMS from my mom. It seemed that they had finished their meeting like for ½ an hour ago and was looking for me. Bloody Hotlink, they couldn’t get through while calling my handphone. They thought I have lost around HK city or kidnapped and what not! I felt terrible and at the same time confused why the heck didn’t my mom just SMS me informing about the meeting had finished, instead of searching for me and trying to get through my stupid Hotlink prepaid handphone for ½ an hour! I made everybody worried including Mr. OC and my baby sister at home (My mom called them, asking to try calling me and see if they can get through).

I ran to the MAS office, and was informed that they’ve already left the office. One of the officer said that my mom and the rest of the team was looking for me and was worried (yeah.. yeah.. I get it already.. It’s not entirely my fault! Tsk! I’ve been waiting for them to finish the meeting almost 5 hours). They called up Ms. Tay, one of the STB team. Then, I met them at the lobby. I saw that my mom was furious/upset/worried/everything at the same time. She was just glad that I was OK.

I apologized to the whole team (but still felt that it was not entirely my fault!!!!!!!!!!) Arghhh!!! See??? I’ve waited for them after the First SMS, but it was damn long, and I hanged out at MTM, just beside the lobby!) Datuk Irene asked why I didn’t just tell the MAS officer that I was going to MTM… How the heck was I suppose to know that I’m going to MTM!! Some of you might think why didn’t I SMS. I tried to find ‘CSL centre’ – whatever that means... to top up my credit. I tried! But none! Fine! Whatever! Aper2 la… Shannarooo~~!!! I should’ve just stayed at the hotel and not following them to the meeting. I planned to do so coz I don’t want to trouble anybody as I’m not apart of this whole business tour thingy. Since they insisted, and I, on the other hand, not wanting to be such a fussy person, just followed their plans thinking that while waiting, I can do window shopping.

Never mind... What’s done is done. After the Hoo Hah incident, we went to the Japanese restaurant inside the Central building. It was OK. I like the Abalon and the sauce. Yummy! Mr. Pang, the Hong Kong MAS General Manager treated us all for lunch and we had a good chat. They were talking about their ERA and our ERA these days. Glad that they finally understand that however it is, you can’t always compare their ERA and our ERA today. It’s just totally different.

Yeah... Last time you don’t have to have a car to go to school like these days. But just imagine. During their ERA, you can still count how many cars on the street and it’s still safe. But now, try ask us to walk to school/work by walking or cycling, and see who’s dead first at the Federal Highway or get kidnapped =P. We know... And I know that our parents’ life was not as luxurious as how we are today. They know the importance of money and knowing that their parents have to work like shit to get only few bucks. But now it’s different.

Even though these days, we get to enjoy Starbucks, fast-food and yada2, doesn’t mean we don’t appreciate what our parents do to bring in the money to support the whole family. I am not that spoiled!

We headed back to Novotel Hotel at around 4PM. My mom was tired, and slept till midnight. Yes, that means we didn’t go anywhere for tonight. Plus, I have difficulty of breathing, due to my asthma. I think this is the worst. I was gasping for air, as if I was drowning. It was pretty scary if I remembered. I guess Dr. Kheng’s clinic in Damai was not really good when it comes to asthma problem. I still prefer Dr. Ganesh in Karamunsing. He has been treating me since I was 4 years old when I first got my asthma attack. After taking my medicine, I went to bed at midnight.

Day One - Wednesday - 17th/May/2006

I woke up early in the morning with a big smile on my face. My mom and I went to the airport at around 11A.M. Upon arriving at the MAS check in counter, one of the desk officer in charged told us that MAS flight canceled due to a bad Typhoon in HK, we were so disappointed during that time, and my mind started to worry that I might have to go to work the next day huhuhuhu…

Around 12P.M, STB called us telling that even though there’s a typhoon in Hong Kong, but the flight wasn’t canceled merely because of the particular reason. It was actually because of some technical problem. Shame on MAS!. Therefore, we took DragonAir instead. In flight food was O.K.. not bad…

We arrived at Hong Kong International Airport around 3.30PM and took a coach to the hotel. I was amazed by all of the skyscrapers buildings and also the categorized shopping outlets by the roadside. Exp: one row of tile outlets.. one row of lighting outlets and so much more. Really neat!

We checked-in at Novotel Century Hong Kong Hotel. Small room but comfortable enough to sleep! Instead of a welcoming note on a piece of paper, we were greeted with a Welcoming note on the Television inside the room.

After having dinner at the hotel restaurant, we went to Mong Kok Market at 7P.M. Our journey started from Wan Chai station to Admiralty station.. then interchange to Mong Kok Station. Mong Kok Market (Ladies Market) was great!!!!! Lots of stuff that can be bargained at very cheap price. Even the fake branded goods looks real. I bought and bargained:

a) Beautiful Hair Pin – HK120 from HK190 for 3 pieces

b) Elegant leather Belt – HK80 from HK140

c) Bohemian Sandals – HK100 from HK190

d) Stunning Denim Jacket – HK179 from HK300

e) Bumblebee Sunglass – HK50 from HK80

f) Gorgeous white Handbag – HK200 from HK295

Total : HK729 from HK1195 (RM343 from RM562)

Huh~ What a day..

A trip to Kudat

A trip to Kudat magnify

Due to a heavy amount of caffeine in my body, I ended up sleeping late. Furthermore, no electricity in the middle of the night and thunderstorm, woke me up at 1.45am. Total: 3 hours of sleep. I woke up with pitched black around me...Wondering how the heck am I gonna get ready to go to Hari Program MESRA Rakyat organized by Biro Pembangunan Awam Negeri Sabah (BPANS) in Kudat with no lights around.. I pity mama. She forced herself to get up and searched for candle, just so I could get my shower with peace of mind. I loved her so much even though when she knew that we are old enough to be independent.

After cutting through all the red lights at the traffic light, I arrived at Caleb's place 10 minutes later than scheduled. He already set himself in the car waiting for me. Poor Caleb. Muahahaha. We went on to fetch Lai from his place, and finally started our 3 hours journey to Kudat. Along the way, we saw lots of cows and its calves by the road, showing sarcastic faces while chewing on the grasses. Nanti kau! Sembelih untuk Hari Korban nanti. Hahahaha!

We arrived at Dewan Tun Mustapha around 6.30am. After setting up the projector screen and other equipments, the event are ready to go! Loads and loads of representatives expressing their tension, stress and discontented problems regarding their particular hometown and neighborhood. Most of them are about polluted water, electrical power problem, bumpy and patchy roads, road signage, crops, criminal dilemmas and so much more. It’s good seeing people voicing out their problems to the particular in charged district officers directly. Plus, Tan Sri Chong Kah Kiat was also there to monitor and assist with the complaints and some point of views expressed by the public. I hope something will be done in the near future to solve the problems.

As usual, being the only camera lady has its own disadvantages. One of them are, you’ll get some comments by the camera ‘man’ on what you did wrong, or maybe get some minor criticism here and there. Secondly, u’ll get a lot off ‘Psst~’ ‘Psst~’ while shooting. Even though it made me uneasy sometimes, at the end of the day, it’s all worth it.

We reached DH office at 5.30pm. Surprisingly I have already missed my colleagues. Chiew2, Marissa and not forgetting Mr. Foxy who has now officially called me Goofy!

…………………………………“Ahiaks~” hahaha…………………………………

Ooh! By the way… yesterday's ‘Mother's Day’ went great. With Chocolate moist cake as part of our morning breakfast, we also presented mama with Este' Lauder gift pack and a bouquet of pink beautiful carnations. We also went to San Francisco Coffee for our ‘tea’ time. I ordered none other than ‘Chocolate Frappuccino with Hazelnut’ … my favorite~ (this is what knocked me off with caffeine)~ Burrpp!

Friends are getting more and more interesting these days.. Thanks to FASANA business.. i get to interact more with my colleagues... different 'types' of colleagues. All of them has their own characteristic. There's Author (although he didn't order anything) A bubbly, happy and interesting guy. Then there's David, the sweetest guy and also very shy. As for the ladies... of course.. they're the happy go lucky types. When it comes to food.. they beat the guys.

I have stupid argument with foxy today. But I have to admit, he always made my day with his stupid and silly but true (and some.. not so true statement) about lots of things. He's 'the very bestfriend' of Caleb. Hahaha. Again, I've contacted lots of clients today.. only waiting to set an appointment to meet all of them. Some are the potential ones.. some are just.. well.. nag me off. Well~ you can't be choosy right?

Went out with DK for lunch at Pete's Corner. Interesting Western food. Delicious too. Tonight, due to unplan agenda, we have to cancel our movie plan. Instead, I'll be bring my baby sis to 'lepak' at San Francisco Tg. Aru, or wherever she wanted to go. I seldom talk to her whenever I'm back after work. Monday-Wednesday.. she's out for tuition. And when she got back, I, either helping my mom with tomorrow's business preparation or dozzed of to beautiful dreamland.

That's about it I guess (and I thought lots of things happened today)... Jya ne~
