Went to CP to find and ‘test drive’ the Canon G9 I mentioned 2 days ago.
Mhm! The brand really stands up to its name.

Papa told me he has a friend who can get the camera at a cheaper price.

I love the camera. I love the size. Just grab, dump it into my bag and I’m ready to snap the world.
But the design looks kinda old… classic look but… hrrmmmm

Canon vs. Nikon... not again ><"

I need a new camera for myself.
For work, for hobby, for traveling & for personal use.
I want to carry it with me anywhere and anytime.
Pronto.
And I’m not gonna go and dream on my la-la-land wishing for a bapak Pro DSLR with DIGIC II or III sticker attached on it *bless canon & nikon* Kempis dompet gue nanti.... T-T
Not now at least.


Was at CP with Julian earlier and encountered this:

It's new and basically has everything that I need as an amateur photographer *I am… really* and it costs RM1388. I predict after discount it should be around RM1350 or so.

As you can see... the Canon model lens can be removed and exchanged from time to time with its 'buy and add' accessories. i.e.

• Telle-converter Lens TC-DC58C*
• Wide converter WC-DC58B*
• High Power Flash HF-DC1
• Waterproof Casing WP-DC21
• Speedlite EX Series Flash
• Speedlite Transmitter ST-E2
• Off-Camera Shoe Cord OC-E3

While Nikon P80 can zoom as far as you would like to peek a girl in a bathroom, still, you cannot add on flash / change lens. I did play around with it just now. The pictures were by par up to standard.

But I have yet to try the Canon one tho. So I can't really judge since I have not feel and touch it with my own bare hand. Gagagagaga XD. It was an older model compare to Nikon P80 probably by 5-6 months. Might need to search for it when I'm out again.




Anyhow, every photographer has their own preferences when it comes to taking picture. My* preferences would be food + close up object/product. Since I’m buying a new camera, I might as well get a good one that fits my budget and is close enough to all DSLR out there.

Once in awhile, I can still play around with my office DSLR; but you know as much as I know that owning your own camera feels a lot better than holding other people’s camera.

So now the question is…

Which one should I choose? Romeo or Superman? EH???? LOL...

• Nizam – Used to have a crush on him when I first set my foot in the Uni. Back then I thought “cute…smart” but nah~

• Salleh – Super Duper talented bugger. Now with Al, taking a journey to become a successful Pilot

• Rizz – Now a course coordinator in Lim Kok Wing. Budak ngegeh. Used to malas buat assignment. Now he’s the one instructing stubborn kids to do their homework. Gagagagaga XD

• Zam – He used to have curly hair. Now he’s very comfortable with straight hair.

• Stan – First he asked us to call him Stan. After a while, he got bored and want us to call him by his real name Ridzwan. LOL. Reminds me of J.Lo. First J.LO then Jennifer.. oh! And PDD too! Puff DD, to Puff Daddy, to PDD… ok… I’m straying…

• Hrmmm…. Hontou ni Gomen nasai!!! I really forgot his name. But I remember he’s very persistent

• Amad – Budak gila. Forever gila. Gue sayang bangat dengan Amad.

• Wan – MMU hermit the creative frog

• Shahnon – Love Photography. Creative too.

• Adi – Now a teacher. A very soft spoken guy. Always smile and very pleasant to be with. Tension pun nampak tak macam tension.

Look at Al. Always changing his hair do, kalah-kalah perempuan. He was skinny back then. But now… fuh! Tagap and Macho. Pilot gitu.

This was gila mode of both Mel and Amad in the hotel room. These two are psychos especially Amad.

I attended the “BEAUTIFUL SABAH – DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST WORKSHOP” yesterday at Monsopiad Cultural Village, Penampang.

Was 1/2 hour late coz I got the time mixed up thinking that it’ll start at 10.30. Hohohohoho

The workshop started with an hour of photography briefing by Datuk Ruslan and my photojournalist friend Edmund; followed by practical sessions.

The theme for the practical session was ‘Monsopiad – A tourist attraction destination’. We were divided into groups of 5, and my group consists of Julian, Claire, Saiful, and…. O’oh… I forgot the other one… will check my notebook later.

The Omputeh was so nice. He helped me to pretend by pointing at the rock. LOL!

For the final presentation, the group leader had to select the best picture of all which reflect the theme given. Picture after picture was presented and question after question was being thrown at the group presenting.

Julian picked my photo to be presented. Honestly, at first, I damn tidak puas hati with the lighting coz I forgot to switch on the flash. And by the time I realized it, the ‘exotic look’ orang putih *as how Julian put it* got tired acting & pointing at the big rock. LOL! But surprisingly in the end, our photo received no bad comment and Dtk Ruslan was happy that we stick to the theme. Yey!
