Eddie's Corner & Sailor's Cafe

I've been craving for western food these few days,
and the thought of mixed grill and battered fish and chips
keeps lingering in my head!

So i decided to go to Eddie's corner (Restaurant Eddie) in Lintas (beside Lintas Hospital/BTC restaurant)

This photo is from Monica.
Note to self: Must keep the habit of taking the restaurant's overview FIRST before food!

For buka puasa, what else would i order than Mixed grill? XD

The price is RM17, and it comes with grilled lamb and small pieces of chicken chop, chips, mixed vege and baked beans!
I would highly recommend you guys to order this dish because it's totally worth it.
The portion is big.. for the ladies.. u might be gasping for air in order to finish it. lol!

I also tapao-ed fish and chips *tamak haha*
Didn't manage to take any photo coz it has been packed neatly.
But you can always go to Monica and Angeline's blog here.
Her blog is FULL of food!!! XD

+++++

Next day, I decided to go to Sailor's Cafe after receiving recommendation from my school friend, Shaniza.
Dino and Serena joined BB & I this time.
Few others were caught up with work and family dinner.

Sailor's Cafe is located right beside Krishna curry house in Plaza Grand Millenium -1st floor.
They open 5pm - 11pm every day except Thursday.

I love the interior design!
Though it's a bit deemed, it felt so homey yet SO creative.
I love the wall & i love the mini souvenir shop inside too.

We ordered few things and shared with each other.
First of all, a bowl of chips.

The chips are crispy and nice.
It cost RM3 only!

As for drinks, BB and Serena ordered a normal Root bear, while
Dino and I ordered Root bear float (Vanilla ice cream)
Nice XD.
Price is RM2 for normal, and RM5 for float.

For my personal dish, i ordered teriyaki meat ball which cost RM4.50.
Initially i thought it will come out small.
But i was wrong XD

It was big and delicious!
and it's RM4.50 only!

Next came our ermm... meat platter (i forgot it's name)

This dish cost Rm55, which comes with 4 sticks of 4 different flavours and one of 'em is chicken teriyaki stick and beef stick.

For RM55, i personally wont be ordering this next time.
One time for trying is enough.

Since we're sharing all these, I still felt a bit hungry.
So i ordered Spaghetti Arrabiatta and requested for extra spicy.

This dish cost RM14.
The sauce was a-ok for me.
I still prefer Little Italy's :)

Lastly, from Dino's friend recommendation,
we ordered Turkey sandwich.

This dish is RM14.
As you can see, it came with 3 big slices of grilled turkey meat, 1 egg sunny side up and more chips!
My opinion is: DELICIOUS!
I loved it.
Some say you can try ordering the meat medium and not well done.

Overall, I'd give this place a 3.8/5.
Definitely worth trying!
I will surely go again for the ambience and to try out other menu :)

Tonight, buka puasa at Le Meridien with family! XD

Happy Fasting Month!

I went for a movie 2 days straight last weekend before new movies coming up next week.

Watched The Expandable and Repo Men.
Both movies were great i must say :)

I absolutely loved the man packed action in The expandable.. tho i cringed at some of the body explosion and slashing actions haha!
My favourite scene would be the part where Sylvester stallone and Arnold schwarzenegger appeared in the same scene.
Script was brilliant.. IF you get the joke :)
They also have some scripts that relates to individual actors real life experience.
But overall, storyline wise is just so-so to me.
But it is definitely worth to watch :)

As for Repo Men, I love the unexpected twist!
and the storyline was not bad at all!
Looking forward to watch Love in disguise and also Eat, Love and Pray next ^_^

+++++

Finally went to gym yesterday during this fasting month...
Damn..
I can only go as far as 20 minutes interval training cardio =_=
That's ok.. will go back to 40 after Raya to burn off all the Raya food muahaha.

+++++

BB had a sleepover at my house last Saturday.
We had our sahur together with my family.
Ngeeeee =D I absolutely love the feeling ^_^

+++++

I managed to snapped few photos of my grandma's kueh at the Bazaar Ramadhan in Wisma Wanita.
Wah lao.. only 6 vendors lol.
No competition at all.
Which is good news for them compare to other places.

My Grandma and uncle sometimes arrived late due to other custom orders for Ramadhan.
But Alhamdulillah, they only need to stay as long as 2 hours coz everything were snatched by the hungry customer by the time they arrived @_@ *macam resident evil*

Nasi Ayam German

Mee Kuah Wan

Bengka

Koci & Puteri Dua Sebilik

Pulut Seri Muka (Durian)

For those of you who haven't tried and would love to try,
you can always drop by to Wisma Wanita during this fasting month.
I'd suggest around 3pm - 4pm would be just nice, just in case they come late and finish early :)

+++++

Last night i didn't manage to go for Terawih prayer since my family and i went for Buka Puasa outside.
So for dessert, BB brought me to 1B to eat Tiramisu at La Fuente, 1 Borneo.

I received lots of nice review on their food especially their Tiramisu.
So we decided to order 1, and add chocolate ice cream as side dessert.

Chocolate Ice cream was rich and YUMMY!!!!
Cost RM3.50 a scoop.
The Tiramisu on the other hand cost RM14.90...

Hrmm...
I do have to state that I like Bella Italia and Little Italy's Tiramisu better.
La Fuente's Tiramisu is not bad, don't get me wrong.
But it still can't beat the 2 old schools.
Plus, some of the ladyfingers are not really soaked in the coffee,
hence, i constantly bite on the hard part.
Which never happened b4 when i eat a Tiramisu dish.
So... yeah :)
AM planning to go Grazzie next weekend and also tapau home some mix grill menu from Eddie's corner :)

As I was browsing through my photos,
I noticed i havent blogged about the KK Ocean World which Rina whined and asked me to join her before. (heh =P)

Nope... no little fishies involve.
Tho it was expected.. our inner kid instinct got curious and pushed us to go in...hua hua.

XD I love Rina's expression here LOL!
So yeah... a short mini fantasy world in 10 minutes.
I can't wait to go to Universal Studios in Singapore!!! XD

.To all my Muslim friends, Happy fasting peeps!
Jgn over makan, nanti gumuks~

Sarah & Ezwan's engagement on 8.8.10

On last 8.8 2010, my beloved sister Sarah got engaged to her man, Ezwan.

Since she's the second child in the family,
to the Malays, they consider it as 'langkah bendul'..
Hence, according to the tradition.. if I'm not mistaken..
in order to PREVENT the elder sister's marriage to be delayed due to the 'langkah bendul', the engaged couple required to present a gift (in a form of attire *sepasang persalinan* and a jewelry (ring/bracelet/gold) at a certain price range to the elder sister in the family...

and that elder sister... is ME =D hehehe...

So here are my gifts from them :)

The ceremony went well, and I can't describe how happy I am for her..
*sniffs...
but i can't get too emotional now.
Lets just save the tears for her Big day in few months time yeah?

Congrats sis!!
Live life to the fullest..
Enjoy and cherish every moment..
Muaks!!!!

Someday,
It will be my turn...
And on that day.. InsyaAllah,
It will be with this silly man :)

Amin~.
