All aboard!!!!

See the BIG ship at Wisma Pelabuhan Sabah? (KK Old Port)
That is the US Navy’s 7th Fleet command ship, the USS Blue Ridge
They’ll be docking here in Kota Kinabalu for several days before leaving for Phillipines and Japan.
Coolness

According to the paper today, USS Blue Ridge docked in Kota Kinabalu yesterday (Saturday) for a port call. They carried with them about 5000 reading materials to be handed over to the Royal Malaysian Navy’s (RMN) Community Resource Centre in Sepanggar as part of the US Navy’s community programme - “Project Handclasp” to encourage and inculcate the reading habit among RMN personnel as well as their immediate family members.

Thanks to the Kinabalu Photography Club, and definitely my sis who is one of the club’s committee members, Julian and I were lucky to be part of the group to cover the event.

Well.. it wasn’t exactly a big event. Just a cocktail dinner party with the Sailors… but still…..*reow*

During the dinner, we were entertained with the band performance and also some singing. The food ‘looked’ awesome. But tasted… So-so. Some of them were a bit stale. But I do love the teriyaki chicken satay ('yummy'ness) and of course, Strawberries. Tralalalalala!

Met Captain Nick of Pirates of Borneo and also introduced to few Sailors. Oh! Some of the US personnel are tall and cute. Wheeee~

Kinabalu Photography Club is a new Club in Sabah and it is under the leadership of Datuk KY Mustafa (My company’s Chairman). With this club, you’ll get opportunity after opportunity to cover events especially back stage entries while practicing your photography skills.

For example, today, I was supposed to join them for another special entrance photography session of the ship, but since it was a last minute call, *sigh* unfortunately I had to reject the invitation.
But I’m glad that Julian had fun getting on board for the second time and had a brokeback experience with the sailors. LOL!

Anyhow, with KPC, you can also learn from other Sifus, meet new people and establish your connection with others.
Privilege huh?

KPC is going to have their own website/blog soon and I'll let you know when it is up. Meanwhile, if you’re interested to join, you can email me and I’ll feed you with the details. Joining fee is RM50 annually. So what are you waiting for?

Message from Earth!

I have been going for DJ 'double banking' in RTM for 2 weeks now.
Double banking is the term they use for DJ 'in training'.
it does sound like a pretty big money huh?
But not for this one. I'm paid Z.E.R.O
For that exact reason, I seriously cram my head asap to quickly learn so that I can actually start my duty fast and actually receive a real DJ pay soon.

Edit video. Edit video. Edit video.

Went to the launching ceremony of Mayor’s KK City book in Le Meridien.
Were seated at the press table together with the ‘ahos’, whom-must-not-be-named.
Anyhow, Julian got ‘the look’ again from some anonymous guy during the event

Kyaha~
He had goosebumps all over him. Har! Har!

Uncle Kamaruddin
(Papa’s Friend) treated us at Ocean Seafood just now.
Being the sweetest as always, Papa peeled off the prawn skin for Nadia and I. Hohohoho.
The Shanghai Pancake was awesome and it cost RM12.

Buttered Prawn *I prefer it skinned!!!!*

Feasty!

The usual prawn-peeling assignment

This is Nadia XD
*I decided not to put her Sponge-bob face*

Shanghai Pancake - Rm12

It was raining heavily and our car was parked further away from the Restaurant.
While waiting, the adults decided to continue their chat. *sigh*

Boring weh.... ><"
So I curled up and slept at the table for awhile. (Anak bertuah sungguh)

Photo of me by Nadia
*The pancake really got into me + too much energy used to chew my food*

I only manage to get 1 photo of last nite's Harajuku nite at Shen from Julian.

What's with the sucky internet connection nowadays hah? hah? hah?

Congrats again Irene for winning the ‘Funkiest make-up’
Oh! Fyi, I was randomly picked to become the judge for the ‘Best Funky Hairstyle’.
Gyahahahaha

So Marissa and I chose Naoki. Je-na’s fren.
Congrats!
*ehem! Give us a free funky hairstyle at your salon ok.. kof! kof!*

I'm hearing Dung! Dang! Dung! Dang! outside.
The rain is getting heavier and heavier.
And the wind sounds like hantu.
Uhuhuhuhu... T-T Kowaii.

'Publicotoiletophobia'

I am holly smoked…did I tell you I hate the smell so much?
Harajuku night at Shen was much better compare to the cowboy theme last week.
Irene of CSP won the best make up for the night.
Will post her picture later.

Taught Gemma how to eat my grandma’s Puteri Dua Sebilik kueh.
She was a bit puzzled on how to eat it. Cute.

Julian & I also brought her to watch Speed Racer.
That movie SUCKED BIG TIME!
I only like the racing. The rest... *trying to find garbage bin*
Forgot to warn Gemma about our public toilet here.
I guess at this very moment, she’s having a 'publicotoiletophobia'.
If you know what I mean.

I is no Londoners XD

I finally met Tracy and Gemma, Julian’s cousin from UK.
One is a City Girl and the other is Adventurous.
Took half day off from work to hang out with them at the beach.
But unfortunately it rained

Plus, the girls were looking forward to a bright sun shiny beach walk.
So.... Oh well.... Talk about visiting Sabah at the wrong time.

A minute there I felt so blessed to be living in Malaysia.
Beach + Beach and more Beach! Hohohoho.
I recommended them to go to Tg Aru foodstalls:

“What’s there to eat there anyway?”
– Tracy
“Oh! Avocado Juice with Vanilla Ice Cream and Kerop….”

*turns to Julian*

“B… what’s Keropok Lekor in English?”
“Err…. It’s like err…cracker…”

*cracker??????*
*direct translation betul BF aku ni*

“Mmm… noooo! Mmm… Keropok Lekor… it’s mm made of fish meat….err… fried… *my gosh… they must be thinking me talking about fried fish* … emmm…. *oh! Uncle is from West Malaysia… I’m sure he knows* mmm…. Actually keropok lekor is a popular snack in Terengganu… *turns to uncle with a veeeeeeery happy and confident look* .. I’m sure uncle knows what is Keropok Lekor right? Right?
”

“errr… No~ I do not know what is Keropok Lekor”

* Him and his Lon+Don slang
*

So Julian will bring them to eat at Tg Aru stall-14 tomorrow for some Keropok Lekor and Banana Fritters.
Huh!!!! Anyway, don’t ever go to stall 13.
Yuck. I made a wrong entry previously.
Got the number mixed up.
Oh! Oh! Hmm.. maybe I should give them a taste of Wan's (grandma) Kueh as well. Hohoho.
Puteri Dua Sebilik, Lepat Pisang, Bengka, Gomak Cracker... kya!!! XD *Droooool*

In the end, I only met them for less than half an hour.
Julian sent me home at about 6.

O….My….Gosh…..
I just realize that I still had enough time to attend my dance class at 7.30 this evening.
I forgotttttttttttttt
*GARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH*
